A few things you might like to know about coaching…
What is coaching?
Each coach has her or his own style and way of supporting their client. Coaching is about supporting people without telling them what to do. Coaching works as a partnership between the coach and the client, you need to find a coach that understands you and is able to work in a compatible way with you. Coaching is a “short” journey to provide you with tools to navigate by yourself. It is not supposed to last for years. Coaching is not a comfortable journey as you may discover parts of yourself that you wish to hide. My intention as a coach is not to make you better or improve yourself, or to get you to perform as a superhuman, you are already perfect as you are today. I will help you to accept your humanity, vibrate within your soul and express yourself to the world.
How is coaching different to therapy and counselling?
Counselling and therapy are to remedy the client’s problems. The clients are dissatisfied with their lives and want relief from psychological and or physical symptoms. Therapy and counselling often seek to understand the past and what went wrong in order to feel better in the present. Coaching focuses on the present and emerging future. I will personally ask if the client is going through therapy and will refer the client to another qualified professional if that is deemed necessary.
I am also certified as an EFT Tapping practionner and can mix my different expertises to support my coachees.
What is EFT Tapping?
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques. EFT is a practical self-help method that involves using the fingers to gently tap on the body's acupuncture points along the meridian lines of Chinese medicine. It is often referred to as ‘EFT Tapping’ or simply as ‘Tapping’. The therapeutic effects of this technique are recognized around the world. One can use EFT tapping for anxiety, weight loss issues, pain, stress and many other issues.
Are you going to “fix me”?
You need to be committed to making the changes that are needed to undertake the journey. I can support you and be there for you, but I cannot do the work for you. Moreover, you don’t need fixing.
What can I expect from you as my coach?
To support you - To be honest - To challenge you when needed
Can coaching create dependency?
No. The coach wants the client to be autonomous and be able to be the artist of her or his life. The coach makes it clear from the start that the client is accountable, and owns the results of the coaching.
Is it worth it?
Coaching is an investment for yourself, a life long learning experience. You are the only judge, the only person that can know if you want to jump or not. I will never persuade you because it will never be a powerful journey if you are not fully committed. You are the artisan of your life and my role is to keep you accountable for it.
Do you offer a guarantee?
